I’ve been a part of the Eleventh Element family since August 2014. I quickly realized my experience at EE was going to be different than my experiences in the past at other gyms. Little did I know it would be life changing. I had been doing Crossfit for about a year and half prior to joining EE, but I felt wasn’t progressing to the goals I had established for myself. As an adaptive athlete (right leg below knee amputee), many of the movements required in Crossfit are challenging and some coaches aren’t quite sure how to adapt these movements to maximize my potential. Not only have the coaches at EE taken the time to work with me individually, I feel they are truly invested in finding new ways for me to excel in each and every workout (no better evidence of this than Graham and Savanna’s support of me at the 2015 Wodapolooza Competition).
Along my journey to my workout goals, I knew I needed to dial in my nutrition to truly maximize my performance. I began working with Savanna in October of 2014 to overhaul (literally) my nutritional habits. Her guidance, support, and commitment to my success paid immediate dividends. Over the course of about 6 months, I lost 40 pounds.
What truly separates EE from other affiliates is its sense of community. Each and every member of EE feel a party of family that is bigger then themselves. The 11th Element of Faith that is the foundation of our gym, has made a tremendous impact on my life in such a short amount of time. It has helped me grow stronger in my walk with God, made me a better husband, a better father, and a better friend.
I cannot thank Graham and Savanna enough for the positive impact EE has on my life, my health, my fitness and my Faith. I can assure you each and every member shares this sense of gratitude.Mike McDonough
My CrossFit journey began in August 2014 at the request of my daughter, Riley. CrossFit has not only made me physically stronger, but an all around better person. When I started this chapter of my life my goal was to be a healthier me and a role model for my three children. I have gained so much more than just weight loss.
As a member of Eleventh Element, We have found a community that is a family. I have watched Riley & Hayden discover a passion for fitness, and grow as young adults as each WOD brings a life lesson. At CrossFit 11E I have seen just how far I can push myself and have done things I thought would never be possible agian. We have learned to fail without being a failure.
The culture created & the example set by each coach & member causes you to never loses faith in your ability to reach the unachievable. Everyone pushes you to do one more, all with the best and safest form possible. Everything we have learned at 11E carries over and applies to our lives outside “the box.”Don Mankin
I joined EE in 2014 because I wanted a good workout to supplement my running. I didn’t know how often I could come in because I didn’t have a steady babysitter available for my 4-yr-old, but the owners said to just bring him in! I ended up staying for the family-friendly atmosphere, the smart, progressive programming, and the super-supportive community that resides within its members and coaching staff. I started out barely being able to lift a barbell. Over 2 years later, I am simply amazed at what my body is capable of doing. Now in my 30s, I’m a much fitter person and a faster runner than I ever was in my 20s. Eleventh Element has definitely moved me beyond being fit for my sport; they are setting me up to be fit for life.Courtney Scarberry
